Since late summer 2025, Systems Unlimited has been proud to have Alpha Sigma Phi from the University of Iowa partner with Systems Unlimited and volunteer with the people that we serve. Together, Systems and the fraternity have planned and hosted activities that help get people out into their community, socialize, and over all have a grand time.
Partnerships and volunteer opportunities like this do more than create meaningful experiences for the people we serve, they also help shape future entrepreneurs and community leaders. By stepping outside the classroom and into real relationships, students gain perspective, empathy, and hands-on experience that will influence the way they lead and do business in the future.
From the beginning, Alpha Sigma Phi members have shown a genuine commitment to building relationships. They joined our Sensory Walk Iowa City Walking Club, spending time walking alongside and interacting with the people we serve. They brought big energy to our annual Sensory Walk event, helping hand out 5K finisher medals & 1-Mile Finisher pins and assisting with event breakdown.
Most recently, that partnership came to life during two Bowling Nights held in February at Bowldogs in North Liberty. Over the course of the two evenings, fraternity members, staff, and the people we serve filled the lanes with laughter, encouragement, and plenty of high-fives. The friendly competition was fun, but the true highlight was the sense of belonging and joy shared by everyone in attendance.
These bowling nights were another reminder of how powerful community partnerships can be. When students invest their time and energy into authentic engagement, everyone benefits. Systems Unlimited is grateful for the continued involvement of Alpha Sigma Phi and looks forward to partnering a couple more times before the school year ends, continuing to create opportunities for connection and inclusion throughout our community.
