James “Jimmy” Gibney is the second-place winner for the 2026 Sensory Walk Finisher Pin. The story behind his drawing is very touching and reflects the strong bond he shares with his family.

Jimmy ’s biggest inspiration came from his father, who introduced him to cars and trucks at a young age. Growing up, Jimmy learned by his father’s side and developed a passion for vehicles. Together, they spent many hours working on cars and trucks creating memories and meaningful quality time.
Today, his father is ill, making this win especially special for Jimmy. This pin drawing is not only a tribute to the father and son bond they share, but a deeply meaningful way to honor the memories, time together, and lessons that inspire him every day.

For the past couple years, Jimmy has continued working with cars and trucks at Dave Wright Nissan and Subaru as a part-time lot attendant. He does minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning the exterior and interior, drilling plates, and applying brand stickers to the cars. His strong work ethic shows in everything he does. Jimmy has been enjoying his time working at the dealership and gets along with all the staff.
For Jimmy, living his best life is living with his roommates. Additionally, he is grateful for the supportive staff who assist him whenever he needs help. Jimmy is a very positive person with a great outlook on life and genuinely cares for the people around him. He enjoys listening to Elvis Presley and proudly wears an Elvis jacket that was gifted to him.
