We are excited to share that Systems Unlimited earned second place at this year’s Festival of Trees in Cedar Rapids. Our entry was extra special this season, because it featured a playful Grinch-themed tree created with love, imagination, and a whole lot of glitter by participants in our Cedar Rapids Day Program.
Each year, our Day Program helps choose the tree’s theme and handcrafts many of the decorations that bring the tree to life. This tradition has become one of our favorite ways to celebrate the holidays as a team. From painting ornaments to assembling little Whoville-inspired details, everyone pitched in to make this year’s tree truly magical.
Visitors at Lindale Mall were treated to a burst of Grinchy cheer and the community clearly felt the joy behind every piece, because our tree won 2nd place in the People’s Choice competition. We are incredibly proud of the recognition.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in this festive event. And to our Cedar Rapids Day Program, thank you for bringing so much heart and holiday magic to our tree every year.
