Thirty-seven years ago, if you were the parent of a child with disabilities, you had two options- structure your home and life to provide constant care or give your child away to a life in an institution. In 1971, a small group of parents decided that wasn’t good enough and together formed Systems Unlimited, Inc.

Today, Systems Unlimited serves not only children and adults with disabilities, but also children and families who are part of the child welfare system. We believe that everyone has the right to enjoy a quality life and we strive to provide the services and supports needed to achieve a person’s or family’s maximum potential.

Systems Unlimited was founded on the principle of individualized services in local communities. All children deserve to grow up in a safe and loving family environment. All children and adults with disabilities have the right to live in the community despite their physical or cognitive challenges. All citizens who are aging deserve the opportunity to continue to live in their own homes as long as possible.
