STEAP (Summer Transitional Employment and Assessment Program)

This program is designed to help students with disabilities transition into adult life, especially the vocational aspect of adulthood. We assess work skills and desires, provide job training and experience, and anaylze vocational needs. Summer employment services are intended to increase vocational success rate for persons involved and to lower long term support. Supported employment services are individualized and include training for desired employment, job development and placement, maintenance support during employment, and post-employment and closure services.
